Users review: When I first saw this movie on VHS in the 80's, I was shocked. In the 70's movie with a good message? I could not believe it. The message to children - to be honest and reliable, and not unpleasant, parents - do not spoil your children or they will quickly find out that brats.Wow, no wonder the liberal critics such as Leonard Maltin trash this movie. There was no transfer of a single message in the movies, usually trashes good and bad credit. That's what makes this story refreshing and re-making the same that appears 2005.Peter Ostrum played Charlie lovable, and very good. He is one of the most beautiful children ever on screen, and it was a good actor. The kind of surprised this was the only film I've ever done! Jack Albertson do a nice job Charlie loving grandfather, and so is the bratty children, especially the girl so bad you laugh her.The first part of the story is a good satire is that people sometimes trivial things so important and how the media will be carried out in stupid ways issues. (Wow, look at it) in the second half of the story is interesting, because the co-star of the film Willy Wonka - the no-nonsense candy maker that makes the kids - it was amazing to see. (The critics thought he was too ugly.) Gene Wilder as Willy excellent. Yes, I have a mean streak to him, but it is good to hear your comments, andthe money, despite the fact that he was not the verbal tact. Most people prefer Wilders Wonka version, by the way, Pas bizarre, but talented Johnny Depps.This was a fun movie that you need to keep your interest. It is an interesting comparison to the 2005 film. Honestly, I enjoy both.
