Users review: Mama (2013) *** (4) couple (Jessica Chastain, Nicholas coaster Valdano) host their two young nieces five years after they were kidnapped by their father and spent most of this time alone in the desert. Two girls slowly beginning to emerge from their state, but it did not take long for the couple to understand that Theres something else with them. Mama is a full-length version of a short film with the director and most successful horror film. There are also many problems to get, but the more I thought Andres Muschietti director did an excellent job of really creating a gloomy atmosphere that hangs over the film. He was also able to use this atmosphere and makes very effective over many of the scenes were quite scary at times. I thought that really made the film stand out when compared to so many other stories were characters played by Chastain. In most films like this, you a good person with good deeds to protect those she loves. Not in this case because her character does not want these girls do not like, Kotor that changed her life and theres really no cute scene. Character development is something quite rare in horror films, but I think really works herself nicely. In Chastain, its good that some of its caliber here, because a lot of work really helps to bring credit to the film events. Supporting players are good too, and this is especially true of the two actresses who play the girls. Now, this does not really work in the film is CGI mother nature. Im sorry, but I really do not understand why you have to have bad looking CGI to bring the film down. Not only is the CGI is pretty poor, but creating a realistic ghost just do many things that you can not help but be put off by this. The director does a good job of increasing tension, but once they actually happen is that it goes away. However, my mother is strong enough horror movie is not perfect but it is certainly good enough to watch. |
